Ayla turns 2!!

I cannot believe our sweet angel has turned 2 years old. My sister Lisa, Grandma Betty, Casey and her boyfriend Ted joined us for cake and pizza. Ayla adores "choo choo" or Thomas the train, thanks to her buddy Colton bringing his videos over. My friend Jenn owns a DQ and she is my reliable cake decorator. She really pulled out the stops this year. It was perfect!
My future scientist

Let me just be forthright with this one. I was NOT present during the shooting of these photos. I could never have tolerated it! My lovely niece Casey was watching and shooting photos of our future scientist. These will be used at her wedding someday. (She was making homemade play dough and some slimey, gooey stuff... "gruesome goo"...at least it was in the shower!)
What kids come up with

After we got back home and the candy high was over... and the Reese cups were gone, the kids got creative with their eggs. They spent quite a bit of time clipping the eggs onto this string. Then, all at once, they jerked the string and the eggs flew everywhere! It was quite a show and a great example of what you can do with your time when you have had enough Spongebob and Webkinz!
Say Cheese!

I was standing in the middle of 2 groups. One group was the adorable children with their Easter baskets of eggs and the other was the adoring family members! I caught them all!
I love Ben's face in the adult one. Tyler and Jennifer have been our closest friends for over 15 years. How we have changed over the years... and all for the better. They mean so much to us.
Happy Easter!

They finally released me from Spam prison! For some reason, they identified me as spam and shut me down. Oh, don't worry, you didn't miss much... ONLY Easter, Ayla's Birthday, and Spring Break... that 's all! I already wrote the Easter one, but I can't figure out how to post the draft. Oh well. It was a beautiful day. Easter at Trader's Point is phenomenal. How blessed we are to have such special friends and that we are able to worship in such a loving environment. Our new minister, Aaron Brockett is certainly a gifted speaker and never fails to spin a seamingly pointless story into a remarkable one. After church, we had brunch at our best friends' Tyler and Jenn's home in Brownsburg with her whole family. It was complete with an Easter egg hunt. I don't think those kids will ever outgrow that tradition. Here is my lovely family after church. Emma wore a dress she picked out herself! God IS good all the time!
