So sweet.

So precious. Casey took this on the way home from visiting the new outdoor shopping center in Fishers, IN. (nice mall) but we mainly just got to see the fountain that Ayla dove for pennies in and stuffed ourselves with a 5 Guys hamburger! Didn't see one kids shoe and that is what we were "looking" for! Had a nice day with Casey anyway and wore out the not so little one.

It's a rough life.

It's a rough life, but somebody's gotta do it.... David found these fabulous chairs on clearance from Cabela's. When they were delivered, I thought they were for his tree stand. Wasn't I pleasantly surprised when he even bought one for me.... I know he is missing his cigars right now as he is lounging in the cool of the evening.... wishing he still smoked. :-)

Is James Happy?

I just found this photo from Casey on my email... she must be up from her nap on my bed upstairs:-) James is the name of the train stuck in her hair. Poor Ayla. Poor James.

Is Thomas Happy?

Casey found a real jewel today. She has been wanting to buy Ayla a ride on Thomas. I keep discouraging her from spending the money. Today, she found one for 5 bucks at Goodwill. She sure made Ayla happy!!!

This happened AFTER Ayla got her train, James, stuck in her hair. He is battery-operated and just kept going and going and going. Needless to say, Ayla was hysterical and ended up bringing to her to me at the hospital to help remove the train from her hair. She didn't want to cut her hair... (family photos are right around the corner at Caroline's wedding.) Together, we were able to trim it without shaving her bald. What on earth would we do without our dear Casey?

I go on the 'cool bus!

One of the earliest memories that I have is watching my brother and sisters get on the school bus in the morning while I watched through the storm door and dressing my German Shepherd "Beep" in shorts and a shirt for when they got off the bus. Now, my youngest is making her own would be memories with her Thomas backpack, waiting for the school bus to take them away. She had hopes that she would go this morning too, but we waved goodbye and said hi to the bus driver.

See Harold, Daddy???

We missed Daddy ALOT. Here is Ayla talking to him on speakerphone. She is telling him all about her choo-choo trains and "showing" them to him as well. It was sweet.

Happy Birthday David!

Pretty good view for the Birthday Boy!
Half Dome
I think he called this one The Clothespin.

Morro Bay

Boy, his finger was itching and the drool dripping!

David celebrated his birthday this year, without his family. Poor thing. Don't feel too sorry for him... just check out his photos from his trip to California. He went on business, but got a flight on Saturday and met up with his friend, Rick, who used to work with him in Indy. Now retired from Lilly, he had plenty of time to shoot the breeze with him. I am grateful to him because I felt sort of guilty not being with him on his birthday. I am glad he wasn't alone. He did have to do some traveling alone, but enjoyed Yosemite and Half Dome from Yosemite Valley with him before traveling onto Morro Bay. He did eventually go to work and had a successful and enjoyable trip. I have to say my favorite part was when he came home. We all missed him ALOT!
